Cases
PAXARO Infra Design specializes in the design and engineering of various infrastructural objects, including bridges, tunnels, viaducts, quay walls, noise barriers, and more.

Project Oosterweel
A15 Maasvlakte-Vaanplein

De Nieuwe Afsluitdijk
A9 Badhoevedorp-Holendrecht
Near Amstelveen, a 1.6-kilometre section of the A9 motorway is being constructed in a lowered position, with three covered sections: one near the Oude Dorp, one near the Stadshart, and one near the Bovenlandpad.
Together with engineering firm Sweco, PAXARO is working for contractor Veenix on the final design (UO) of the lowered section. We are providing:
- Lead engineer
- Structural calculations
- Formwork drawings
- 3D reinforcement design

Theemswegtracé| Rotterdam
In the Europoort area, the Theemsweg route is being constructed on behalf of the Port of Rotterdam Authority. The Theemsweg route is approximately 4 kilometres long and provides a solution to the capacity bottleneck at the Caland Bridge near Rozenburg.
The new route runs over an elevated railway viaduct. The track includes two arch bridges and connects to the existing railway near the A15 motorway. By rerouting the railway line, the increasing rail traffic no longer interferes with shipping traffic, which will improve overall traffic flow.
PAXARO has made several contributions to this project, including the detailed engineering of the concrete works for a new wind barrier, as well as various contributions to the modelling of the railway viaduct and arch bridges.

Wind barrier Het Theemswegtracé
For the construction of the Theemsweg route (the new freight railway line in the Europoort area), a large concrete wind barrier along the Neckarhaven was in the way.
This was demolished and replaced by a new wind barrier.
PAXARO carried out the engineering of the new wind barrier on behalf of the Port of Rotterdam Authority.

Fly-over voor Port of Amsterdam
For the Port of Amsterdam, PAXARO conducted a feasibility study for improving the flow of freight traffic from Ruijgoordweg in Amsterdam’s Western Port Area. One of the options is a flyover over the Westpoortweg. A visualization of the design has been created.

Rijkswaterstaat Zee en Delta
Systems engineering and contract preparation for dredging contracts.

Havenbedrijf Rotterdam
For the Port of Rotterdam Authority, we created 3D objects of existing structures based on analog drawings and using the Port of Rotterdam’s object library, for use in the asset management system.
Projects

Project “The New Afsluitdijk”
Construction consortium LevveL is currently overseeing the "De Nieuwe Afsluitdijk" project on behalf of Rijkswaterstaat, which includes the Keersluis Den Over. As part of this project, PAXARO has been contracted to design the reinforcement for the floor and walls of the lock head, in support of LevveL.

Zuid West 380 KV West
TenneT has commissioned BAM to execute the Zuid West 380 KV West project, which involves the construction of foundations for high-voltage pylons. As part of this project, PAXARO is responsible for developing a 3D model of the reinforcement design and converting it into 2D reinforcement drawings using Allplan. The expected delivery date for this work is December 2020.

Ring South Groningen
The city of Groningen is planning to deepen the A7, thereby eliminating the only traffic light between Amsterdam and Hamburg.
PAXARO has been commissioned by the construction consortium Herepoort to participate in the design of structures and the sunken location.
To view progress on this project, please visit the live cam.

Zuidas
As part of efforts to remove the barrier of the A10 and create additional space for an expanded public transport hub, the A10 South in Amsterdam is being sunk.
PAXARO has been commissioned by the Zuidplus construction consortium to collaborate on the design of the rail-carrying structures. You can view the timelapses here
Zeesluis IJmuiden
Construction of the world's largest sea lock is underway in IJmuiden.
PAXARO has been commissioned by the construction consortium OPEN IJ to participate in sinking the caissons for the lock gate greenhouses.

Botlekbrug
In recent years, the A15 in Rotterdam Europoort has undergone extensive reconstruction. The final phase of this project involves the completion of the Botlek bridge.
PAXARO has been commissioned by the construction consortium A-Lanes to participate in the design of the rail connection over the bridge.

Theemswegtracé
The Port of Rotterdam Authority is constructing a new freight railway line in the Europoort area, and PAXARO is working on the design for the SAVE construction consortium.

N213
PAXARO has completed the Definitive design for the bicycle underpass beneath the roundabout in the N213. This project was commissioned by the Vogel combination, which includes van Gelder and VOBI.

Noordelijke Randweg Voorhout
The municipality of Teylingen is realizing a Northern Randweg in Voorhout, a core of the municipality.
PAXARO has designed the artworks for this project, including a bicycle tunnel, a road bridge, and a temporary access bridge.

Flyover for Port of Amsterdam
PAXARO conducted a variant study for the Port of Amsterdam aimed at improving the flow of freight traffic from the Ruijgoordweg in the Western Docklands of Amsterdam. One of the proposed solutions is a flyover over Westpoortweg, and a visualization of the design is available for viewing.

New windshield The Theemswegtracé
Before the construction of Het Theemswegtracé (the new freight railway line in the Europoort area), a large concrete windbreak along the Neckarhaven stood in the way. This has been demolished and a new windshield has been built in its place. PAXARO has carried out the engineering of the new windbreak on behalf of the Port of Rotterdam Authority.
Prior to the construction of the Het Theemswegtracé, a new freight railway line in the Europoort area, a large concrete windbreak along the Neckarhaven needed to be demolished and replaced. PAXARO was responsible for the engineering of the new windbreak on behalf of the Port of Rotterdam Authority.
